Costa Mesa Skateboard Park
After several years of hard work by the Costa Mesa Skatepark Coalition the Costa Mesa Skatepark is finally becoming a reality. Designed by Purkiss Rose with the help of Jim Gray, Marty Jimenez, Chuck Holz, Paul Schmidt, some Costa Mesa locals, and many other skaters it is now up to Wally Holiday and California Skateparks to pull through. So far the park is looking killer and Wally and his crew have a great history of bringing some killer skateparks to SoCal. Cheers to another skatepark in the OC.

11/21/2003 - Proposed design of the Santa Monica Skatepark
These are renderings that were sent to me by the city of Santa Monica. At first glance, absolutely nothing glares out at me indicating that this is going to out do what we currently have in SoCal. Hopefully, we all can get involved to save this design! It looks like this one has been sitting around for a few years and now that they have decided to actually build the park it is being pulled back off the shelf.
The officials in the City of Santa Monica are cool people and will most likely listen to our feedback.

Etnies Skatepark Fall Classic AM Contest
On Saturday November 6th 2004, the City of Lake Forest put on their first annual Fall Classic 18 and Under AM Contest at the Etnies Skatepark. I judged the event so I did what I could to capture as many photos as I could so here they are. Sorry for missing some names here and there but I am old and am losing my memory. Thanks to all the skaters for putting on a great exhibition of the future, Nick Gates for doing such a great job helping to organize the event, and of course the City of Lake Forest for sponsoring the event.
